I watched it yesterday. I agree that the acting was good this time around. Imelda Staunton was better as Umbridge than I could have ever expected. She proved that performance is much more important than appearance. Evanna Lynch also shines as Luna Lovegood.
Jo Rowling was right; she is perfect for the role! Another important performance to mention is that of Michael Gambon. Although I absolutely hated his version of Dumbledore in Goblet of Fire, he almost completely redeems himself!
I've talked about the acting of the newcomers (and Gambon), but I think the one performance that truly made this film a success was that of Daniel Radcliffe. He was actually believable in this film and really nailed the emotional journey that Harry goes through in this much darker story.
Overall, it was ok but to tell you the truth, I expected it to be better. since the seventh or last book is coming out, and I think that will really be the last, im starting to think of collecting harry potter movies cd or dvd and books.
I might start of with the freebie! check out http://www.yehey.com/promohub/claimHere.aspx
for the harry potter 9 disc set!
anyway, rather than reading the book, i might as well watch this 2 hour movie but for those who wants details... books will be better than movie... as always...
Have you watched? what do you think?
